Job summary

Keystone Human Services seeks a Job Developer in Mechanicsburg, PA to provide person-centered employment support for individuals with Autism, helping them prepare for and maintain meaningful work.

The role includes assessing interests and support needs, creating tailored employment plans, and coordinating with families and employers to foster successful placements and ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation, Business, Marketing, Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Associate’s degree with one year of work experience related to job assessment, job finding, or employment supports.
• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of work experience related to job assessment, job finding, or employment supports.
• ACRE certification or equivalent within 6 months of employment.
• Valid driver’s license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
• Clearances and verifications as part of pre-employment process.

Responsibilities

• Promotes inclusive, competitive employment opportunities for individuals across diverse abilities and backgrounds.
• Meets with individuals to identify job interests, strengths, and long-term goals, creating personalized employment plans.
• Builds, cultivates, and maintains relationships with local employers and community organizations.
• Provides employers with information, training, and resources to address concerns and highlight benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities.
• Assists with job development and negotiation to support hiring decisions.
• Collaborates with individuals to set employment goals and develop work strategies.
• Provides on-site job training, coaching, and ongoing support in the workplace.
• Mentors and collaborates with staff supporting individuals at job sites.
• Supports arranging reliable transportation options for access to work.
• Maintains timely, clear communication with employers, participants, families, staff, and management.
