Job summary

Advocates Darnell School in Hudson, MA, is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support students with IEP goals in a 1:1 or 1:2 setting. You will implement academic and behavior strategies, collect progress data, and accompany students in community activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must pass background checks and have a valid driver''s license.

Responsibilities

• Implement IEP goals for students.
• Carry out behavior support plans.
• Collect data on IEP goals using an electronic data collection system or via paper and pencil.
• Accompany and teach students in the community.
• Transport students as needed.
• Attend weekly classroom staff meetings.
• Attend monthly school wide trainings.
• Maintain First Aid, CPR and Safety Care certifications.
