Job summary

QSAC in Bronx, NY is seeking a Special Education Teacher certified for Students with Disabilities to implement IEPs, manage classrooms, and participate in annual meetings. The role includes documentation and collaboration with families, interns and staff, with extensive support and opportunities for professional growth.

Applicants should hold State certification (B-2 or All Grades) and have experience with autism and ABA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• NYS Teaching Certificate in Students with Disabilities B-2 or All Grades is required.
• Three letters of recommendation are required upon hire.
• Experience with Autism and ABA is preferred.
• Ability to run and safely assist lifting individuals.

Responsibilities

• Implement and adhere to IEP/Student Program and related documentation.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments of educational programs and behavior interventions.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Teacher’s Assistants/Aides.
• Interact with parents, interns, professionals and visitors; maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain required program documentation and training compliance.
