Job summary

QSAC Education program is seeking a dedicated Curriculum Coordinator in Bronx, NY to ensure curriculum aligns with NY State Learning Standards and ABA principles. The role monitors implementation, oversees training, and handles curriculum adaptations to support students aged 2-21 with autism.

The position requires a Teaching Certification in Special Education, at least 5 years of teaching experience, and knowledge of NYS standards.

Qualifications

• Teaching Certification in Special Education or related degree, required.
• 5 years of teaching experience and knowledge of NYS Learning Standards required.
• Experience with Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) highly preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review daily data collection and record of student progress.
• Develop IEP goals and objectives aligned with NYS standards using ABA.
• Participate in implementation of student’s IEP using ABA principles.
• Align curriculum and train teachers to apply ABA to teach new and existing behaviors.
• Provide training and feedback to staff on ABA strategies.
