Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking an Autism Diagnostic & Intervention Clinician to join our interdisciplinary diagnostic team in Springfield, Missouri. This role welcomes Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts to conduct comprehensive autism evaluations and provide timely, actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Hold a master's degree in their respective professional field.
• Maintain active national certification: CCC-SLP, NBCOT or BCBA.
• Hold an active, unrestricted professional license in Missouri or be eligible for Missouri licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment, analytical and treatment-planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations within your professional scope of practice.
• Administer, score, and interpret standardized autism-specific diagnostic measures.
• Complete discipline-specific clinical observations and standardized assessments.
• Collaborate with psychologists and other clinicians during interdisciplinary case conferences.
• Contribute clinical findings to diagnostic outcomes using DSM-5-TR criteria.
• Develop individualized treatment and support recommendations.
• Provide consultation and recommendations to families, educational agencies, and community partners.
• Prepare integrated clinical reports translating assessment findings into practical recommendations.
• Provide short-term therapeutic intervention within your professional discipline.
• Provide supervision or clinical instruction to graduate students as needed.

The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking an Autism Diagnostic & Intervention Clinician to join our interdisciplinary diagnostic team in Springfield, Missouri.

This opportunity is open to Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts who are interested in using their clinical expertise in autism evaluation, diagnostic collaboration, and short-term intervention.

Working closely with a Lead Psychologist and other allied health clinicians, you will help complete comprehensive autism spectrum disorder evaluations, contribute discipline-specific clinical insight, and develop meaningful recommendations for individuals and families.

This role may be a strong fit for a clinician who enjoys assessment, clinical reasoning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and helping families better understand an individual's strengths and support needs.

What You'll Do

What the Clinical Work Looks Like

This position combines diagnostic evaluation and direct clinical intervention.

Baseline productivity expectations include approximately:

• 8 evaluations per week
• 8 hours of direct therapy

Therapy caseload expectations are adjusted relative to evaluation volume to maintain a balanced overall clinical workload.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must:

• Hold a master's degree in their respective professional field
• Maintain active national certification as one of the following:
  • CCC-SLP
  • NBCOT
  • BCBA
• Hold an active, unrestricted professional license in Missouri or be immediately eligible for Missouri licensure
• Have a strong foundational understanding of child development and neurodevelopmental disorders
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, analytical, and treatment-planning skills
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, colleagues, and community partners
• Be able to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with autism or neurodevelopmental evaluationsPrevious training or experience administering the ADOS-2

ADOS-2 experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided if needed.
