Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks is hiring an Autism Diagnostic & Intervention Clinician in Springfield, Missouri. You will join an interdisciplinary team to conduct evaluations, interpret evidence-based measures, and develop individualized recommendations for autism assessment and short-term intervention.

Open to SLPs, OTs, and BCBAs who collaborate with a lead psychologist, provide reports, and support families and educational partners through the diagnostic process.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in their respective professional field.
  • Active national certification (CCC-SLP, NBCOT, or BCBA) and Missouri licensure.
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive autism evaluations within their scope of practice.

Quick SnapshotLocation: Springfield, MOEmployment Type: Full-time, salaried exemptSchedule: Monday-Friday, with work hours scheduled within 7:00 AM-6:00 PMEligible Disciplines: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Reports To: Lead PsychologistUse Your Clinical Expertise in Autism DiagnosticsThe Arc of the Ozarks is seeking an Autism Diagnostic & Intervention Clinician to join our interdisciplinary diagnostic team in Springfield, Missouri.This opportunity is open to Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts who are interested in using their clinical expertise in autism evaluation, diagnostic collaboration, and short-term intervention.Working closely with a Lead Psychologist and other allied health clinicians, you will help complete comprehensive autism spectrum disorder evaluations, contribute discipline-specific clinical insight, and develop meaningful recommendations for individuals and families.This role may be a strong fit for a clinician who enjoys assessment, clinical reasoning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and helping families better understand an individual's strengths and support needs.What You'll DoAs an Autism Diagnostic & Intervention Clinician, you will:Conduct comprehensive evaluations within your professional scope of practiceAdminister, score, and interpret standardized autism-specific diagnostic measuresComplete discipline-specific clinical observations and standardized assessmentsCollaborate with psychologists and other clinicians during interdisciplinary case conferencesContribute clinical findings to diagnostic outcomes using DSM-5-TR criteriaDevelop individualized treatment and support recommendationsProvide consultation and recommendations to families, educational agencies, and community partnersPrepare integrated clinical reports that translate assessment findings into practical recommendationsProvide evidence-based, short-term therapeutic intervention within your professional disciplineProvide supervision, mentorship, or clinical instruction to graduate students as neededComplete clinical documentation within established quality and confidentiality standardsWhat the Clinical Work Looks LikeThis position combines diagnostic evaluation and direct clinical intervention.Baseline productivity expectations include approximately:8 evaluations per week8 hours of direct therapyTherapy caseload expectations are adjusted relative to evaluation volume to maintain a balanced overall clinical workload.Required QualificationsCandidates must:Hold a master's degree in their respective professional fieldMaintain active national certification as one of the following:CCC-SLPNBCOTBCBAHold an active, unrestricted professional license in Missouri or be immediately eligible for Missouri licensureHave a strong foundational understanding of child development and neurodevelopmental disordersDemonstrate strong clinical assessment, analytical, and treatment-planning skillsCommunicate effectively with individuals, families, colleagues, and community partnersBe able to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of an interdisciplinary teamPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience with autism or neurodevelopmental evaluationsPrevious training or experience administering the ADOS-2ADOS-2 experience is preferred, but not required.
