Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health seeks a Community Support Specialist (CSP) as part of the CAAPP program. This is an independent contractor role with flexible hours, focusing on adults with autism in Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware counties.

You will support life skills, communication, social engagement, and work readiness, documenting progress and coordinating with specialized staff. Training provided and ongoing collaboration expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• High School Diploma with at least 6 months experience working directly with individuals with any developmental disability, including autism.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based support and skill development to young adults diagnosed with autism who are transitioning out of educational programs.
• Provide support to participants in communication, social skills, self-care, work readiness, vocational training, and community-based supportive employment.
• Use evidence-based instructional strategies to help participants achieve goals across home, community and work settings.
• Complete progress notes and data collection for each participant.
• Work with the Integration Specialist and Behavior Support Specialist to identify areas of strength and need.
