Job summary

Northeast Arc is seeking Autism Coaches to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in community settings. This role focuses on helping clients set goals and develop independent living skills through the Guided Personal Support (GPS) program, funded by DDS contracts.

As part of the GPS team, you will work one-on-one with clients, promote inclusion, and implement plans to build daily living and social skills in various community contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Comfort working in home or community-based environments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for 80% of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must pass all required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized supports to clients for community inclusion, building independence.
• Teach skills and behaviors per individual plans (e.g., executive functioning, boundaries).
• Communicate progress and challenges with supervisor.
• Complete paperwork on time, including timesheets and incident reports.
• Transport individuals to goal-related community activities as needed.
• Provide mandated reporting as required by law.
