Job summary

Northeast Arc in Amesbury, MA, is seeking Autism Coaches to help individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder develop goals and skills for independent living through the GPS program. You will work one-on-one in community settings, applying individualized plans and documenting progress with supervision.

A Bachelor's in human services is required, Master's preferred, plus a valid driver's license; flexibility and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field is required.
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with an individual with disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Comfort working in home or community-based environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must pass required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized supports to clients for community inclusion and independence.
• Teach skills and behaviors such as executive functioning and relational boundaries per the plan.
• Communicate progress and goals with supervisor regularly.
• Complete paperwork including time sheets and incident reports timely.
• Use personal vehicle to transport individuals to activities when applicable.
• Meet Massachusetts reporting requirements as needed.
