Job summary

Northeast Arc is seeking Autism Coaches to help individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder develop goals for the future and practical ways to achieve them in community settings.

As an Autism Coach in Lowell and surrounding areas, you will work one-on-one to support independence and implement GPS program plans while ensuring documentation and compliance. The role requires driving, background checks, and a passion for empowering clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field required.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Comfort working in home or community-based environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to stand for 80% of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Successful background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized supports to clients to foster community inclusion, building independence.
• Teach skills and behaviors per the plan, including executive functioning and boundaries.
• Communicate with supervisor regularly about progress, challenges, and goals.
• Submit time sheets and incident reports according to policies and timelines.
• Use personal vehicle to transport clients to activities when applicable.
• Complete mandated reporting as required by state laws.
