Job summary

Northeast Arc in Andover, MA is seeking an Autism Coach to work one-on-one with individuals in the community, supporting goal setting and independent living through the Guided Personal Support program.

The position involves teaching executive functioning skills, maintaining regular supervisor communication, and completing paperwork. The role supports clients in developing goals and skills to live more independently, with a flexible schedule and local driving as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Comfort working in home or community-based environments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized supports to clients for the purpose of fostering community inclusion, community building, and independence
• Teach specific skills and behaviors, such as executive functioning skills and appropriate relational boundaries, in accordance with the goals, objectives, and strategies identified in the individual's plan
• Communicate with supervisor regularly regarding progress, challenges, and goals
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork, including time sheets and incident reports, in a timely manner and in accordance with program and agency policies
• Use personal vehicle, when applicable, to transport the individual to goal-related community activities
• Provide mandated reporting consistent with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 119, Sections 51A-51G
