Job summary

Kennewick School District is seeking a Paraeducator for an Autism classroom at Kennewick High School. The role involves direct student support, data collection, and collaboration with a skilled team to implement instructional plans.

Hours are 6.5 per day, 180 days per year, with salary $23.15–$26.65 per hour plus potential extra pay for college credits. Applicants must meet education and training requirements and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and AA/credits or ETS score.
• Must attach unofficial transcript proving AA or equivalent to application.
• Must pass background check and CPI training within the required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to autistic students under teacher supervision.
• Carry out educational instruction and collect data to monitor progress.
• Assist with toileting, diapering, and food preparation as needed.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with district policies.
• Work as part of a team with teachers, paraeducators, and specialists.
