Job summary

Autism West Midlands is seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead The Paddocks, our newer supported living service in Marston Green, Solihull. You’ll oversee quality, safety and culture, guiding a 24-hour team and driving personalised support that promotes autonomy.

You’ll work with tenants, families and professionals, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering growth alongside the Operations Manager. A strong autism background and on-call leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing staff teams in supported living or similar care settings for autistic people or learning disabilities.
• Knowledge of autism, positive behaviour support and relevant social care frameworks.
• Experience in support planning, risk assessment and financial management.
• A Level 4 qualification in a relevant field; Level 5 leadership qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Guide transitions, settle new tenants and work with families, commissioners and professionals.
• Champion positive behaviour support and translate good practice into daily work.
• Shape personalised support plans to promote autonomy and potential.
• Lead a flexible 24-hour team with recruitment, induction and development.
• Keep the service outstanding, register with CQC, ensure safety and inspection readiness.
• Build connections with the local community and opportunities for tenants.
• Manage budgets, rotas, occupancy and service growth with the Operations Manager.
• Manage a Deputy Manager and Senior Support Workers.
