Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Behavior Technicians in Pasadena, CA. You will work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA, applying evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while minimizing challenging behaviors.

Training is provided; prior experience is not required. You must be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team, with physical ability to assist children up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate and able to work well in a team.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Support children in reducing interfering behaviors during sessions.
• Participate in training and onboarding to consistently apply best practices.
