Job summary

Centria Autism in Salem, Oregon seeks a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA supervision. You will help teach communication, social, and daily living skills with evidence-based techniques.

No prior experience required; comprehensive training is provided. You must be patient, compassionate, and able to stand/walk and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification and TB test may be required.
• Pass pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Contribute to reducing interfering behaviors.
