Centria Autism in Independence, Oregon is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum, implementing individualized intervention plans under BCBA supervision. You will employ evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, while ensuring safety and comfort.

You will be trained and supported; no prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors while ensuring safety and promoting developmental progress.
• Collaborate with the team and family to support each child’s goals.
