Job summary

Centria Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to join our team in Melvindale, Michigan. You will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing personalized behavior plans under a BCBA and using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy to work with children with autism.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid and TB test may be obtained.
• Background check required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to children with autism, following BCBA-guided plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and ensure child safety during sessions.
• Follow supervision and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Adapt activities to each child’s needs and progress.
