Job summary

Centria-Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians who can make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under supervision by a BCBA.

You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squa d, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills; reduce interfering behaviors.
• Maintenance of positions and movement as needed (standing, walking, etc.).
• End-of-day impact statement: contribute to child and family wellbeing.
