Job summary

Centria Autism in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children and implement individualized behavior intervention plans under a BCBA.

You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while ensuring safety and comfort. Training provided; CPR/First Aid and TB tests may be required; opportunities to grow within the field.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion when working with children with autism.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• 18+ years of age and a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test (if not up to date).
• Pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• One-on-one work with children implementing behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors while ensuring safety and support for children.
