Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children who have autism. You will implement individualized intervention plans under a BCBA, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based methods.

The role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork. Training is provided, and the position involves lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods as you support children's activities.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with a team and participate in comprehensive training to support each child.
