Job summary

Centria Autism is hiring Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children in our autism program. You will implement individualized behavior plans under the guidance of a BCBA and use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

We value patience, compassion, and teamwork. Training is provided, and the role may involve standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed to support each child’s success.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age and high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and a TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and implement individualized behavior plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Assist in reducing interfering behaviors while providing a supportive environment.
• Move and position children as needed and ensure safety during activities.
