Job summary

Centria Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Behavior Technicians. You will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized plans under the guidance of a BCBA.

Training is provided to equip you to help each child reach their full potential, with emphasis on communication, social, and daily living skills. We value patience, compassion, teamwork, and the ability to handle the physical aspects of care, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test within the last year
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with team to support each child’s progress and safety.
