Job summary

Centria Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA and using evidence-based methods to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

Ideal candidates are patient and team-oriented. Training is provided; physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds and moving in varied positions. Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Contribute to a supportive team environment and participate in ongoing training.
• Make a meaningful impact on each child and family at the end of the day.
