Fidelity Partners seeks an Authored Works Review Editor for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. You will shepherd the editorial lifecycle for public-facing articles, reports, and leadership messaging, coordinating fact-checking, reviews, and final approvals.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in communications or English and at least five years of editing or technical-writing experience, with strong AP style, HIPAA awareness, and experience in healthcare communications

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
• 5+ years editing, copyediting, or technical-writing experience, preferably in medical research/public policy/military doctrine.
• Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, and AP style.
• Experience in healthcare communications or military public affairs.
• Understand HIPAA and PHI requirements.
• Experience managing editorial calendars and review workflows.
• Must satisfy Tier II background, CAC, training, NDA, network-access, onboarding requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Manage end-to-end editorial lifecycle for public-facing articles, reports, and leadership messaging.
• Develop and maintain an editorial calendar and track documents through drafting, review, clearance, and release.
• Edit and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, grammar, punctuation, tone, and AP style compliance.
• Apply command style guides, DHA and military requirements consistently across products.
• Conduct rigorous fact-checking and verify sources, claims, statistics, medical information, names, titles, and org details.
• Coordinate with authors, subject matter experts, legal counsel, public affairs, and leadership to resolve comments and obtain approvals.
• Develop and enforce an organizational style guide for a consistent command voice.
• Identify unclear or noncompliant content and provide corrective guidance.
• Protect HIPAA-regulated information throughout the editorial and release process.
• Package finalized materials and manage clearance before presenting to senior PAO for approval.
• Complete required orientation and security-related training and comply with all WRNMMC and DHA policies.
