Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an Authentication Fraud Strategy Analyst to analyze, develop, and optimize enterprise authentication fraud strategies that protect customers and reduce losses while delivering a seamless digital experience.

The role partners across Fraud Strategy, Digital, Operations, Technology, Risk, and external vendors to translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations and drive strategic enhancements in authentication controls, models, and vendor solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than eight years of applicable experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficient with data analysis software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and optimization of authentication fraud strategies to reduce losses while preserving customer experience.
• Analyze authentication performance, fraud outcomes, and customer journeys to identify risks and opportunities.
• Conduct root-cause analyses of authentication failures and account takeover events.
• Develop frameworks and metrics to monitor authentication effectiveness and impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and evaluate authentication initiatives.
• Support model governance and validation for authentication models.
• Evaluate third-party vendors and identity verification capabilities for strategic fit.
