Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an Authentication Fraud Strategy Analyst to lead data-driven efforts in reducing fraud losses and improving the customer experience across digital channels.

You will leverage analytics, fraud intelligence, and customer behavior insights to evaluate performance and guide strategic enhancements. The role partners with Fraud Strategy, Digital, Operations, Technology, Risk, and external vendors to drive actionable recommendations while balancing risk, experience, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Typically more than eight years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, development, and optimization of authentication fraud strategies.
• Analyze authentication performance, fraud outcomes, and customer journeys to identify risks and opportunities.
• Conduct root-cause analyses of authentication failures and account takeovers to drive strategic recommendations.
• Develop and maintain analytical frameworks, metrics, and monitoring for authentication effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and evaluate authentication initiatives.
• Support model governance, validation, and performance assessments for authentication models.
• Evaluate third-party vendors and fraud tools for effectiveness and strategic fit.
• Identify opportunities to improve fraud detection and reduce customer friction.
• Translate analyses into executive-ready recommendations and investment prioritization.
• Monitor emerging fraud trends and regulatory requirements to inform strategy.
