Job summary

Sistema Technologies is seeking a Network Support Technician for a 9-month, on-site role with our Austin client. The position focuses on equipment installation, network troubleshooting, and coordination with remote-site personnel and contractors.

Candidates should be comfortable traveling to remote sites and maintaining thorough project documentation. The role requires hands-on hardware installation, basic network problem solving, and collaboration with multiple teams to ensure smooth deployment

Qualifications

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs network hardware.
• Maintains, upgrades, and replaces hardware and software systems.
• Performs basic operation, monitoring, installation, troubleshooting, relocations, and maintenance of network equipment.
• Identifies and resolves basic networking problems.
• Installs, maintains, moves, and assists in testing and upgrading new and existing network hardware/software.
• Collaborates with network and infrastructure teams for root cause analysis and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate replacement and installation of network equipment at remote sites.
• Verify equipment, cabling, power, and materials prior to deployment.
• Assist with equipment staging, labeling, configuration, and shipment to remote locations.
• Track shipments and coordinate returns for replaced/defective equipment.
• Coordinate installation activities with remote-site personnel and contractors.
• Verify connectivity and basic service operation after installation.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, cabling, and network issues.
• Escalate complex issues to senior networks teams.
• Coordinate Starlink satellite installations and verify service readiness.
• Maintain installation status, site information, and project documentation.
