Job summary

Pacer Group in the Austin, TX area is seeking a Data Center Practice Lead to guide field operations and partnerships for mission-critical staffing and delivery. This onsite role will stand up the practice, shape offerings, and work with sales, recruiting, and delivery teams to ensure high-quality candidate delivery and project execution.

The ideal candidate has hands-on data center construction experience, strong relationships with contractors and vendors, and the ability to align workforce

Qualifications

• Must reside within 50-mile radius of Austin, Texas.
• Direct data center project experience required.
• 7+ years in data center construction or related fields.
• Experience supporting field crews, vendors, or clients.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety, schedule, tools, PPE, and communication.
• Ability to discuss with contractors, foremen, superintendents, and project managers.
• Strong relationship-building and ability to support both BD and delivery.
• Able to explain technical or field requirements to non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable delivery model for data center staffing.
• Define service offerings, field expectations, and delivery standards.
• Provide field input on pay guidance, onboarding, and safety.
• Partner with sales, recruiting, and delivery to position Pacer as workforce partner.
• Support data center business development and client calls.
• Build relationships with contractors, vendors, and field leaders.
• Lead delivery strategy for new data center requirements.
