Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology is seeking an Engineering Technician I in Austin, TX to support Technology and Manufacturing Engineering with assembly, diagnostics, and testing of complex electro-mechanical sub-systems. The role includes design and prototyping of tooling, drawings, and CAD models for manufacturability.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of electro-mechanical experience, proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor) and familiarity with GD&T.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required; actively pursuing college courses for an engineering degree is given high consideration.
5-7 years of electro-mechanical technician experience within a manufacturing environment required.
3-D CAD systems experience preferred.
Knowledge of GD&T and drawing standards; ability to interpret schematics and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

Supports Technology/Manufacturing Engineering activities such as design, test, diagnostics and modification of prototype systems.
Works from schematics, block diagrams, TC maps, written and verbal instructions to perform testing and trouble-shooting functions.
Performs testing using engineering methods; designs experiments and collates data for review.
Generates accurate/complete manufacturing drawings and BOMs using SolidWorks/Pro-Engineer.
Implements GMP within assembly methods and develops clear work instructions and training materials.
