Job summary

ABC Home & Commercial Services in Austin, TX is seeking a Sales Arborist to generate new leads, meet clients, and close outdoor service sales. This full-time role emphasizes outdoor work, on-site visits, and building lasting customer relationships.

First-year earnings potential up to $80k–$120k+ with a commission-based structure; local candidates preferred; compensation aligns with market and seasonal demand.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license with at least five years since issue.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain ISA certification.
• A minimum of 2 years tree experience required.
• Previous outside sales experience is preferred.
• Strong presentation skills and outstanding phone etiquette.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, smartphones, tablets, and computers.
• Exceptional multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to build and maintain new and existing business relationships.
• Able to work Mon-Fri (Saturdays optional).

Responsibilities

• Generate new leads by attending trade shows, networking events, and leveraging other sources to grow potential sales accounts.
• Meet with current clients to secure new sales, upsell services, and respond to incoming leads promptly.
• Spend the majority of your time outside the office, driving to meet with existing clients and prospective customers.
• Gain specialized knowledge of tree services and other services provided by ABC. Stay updated on product incentives and seasonal discounts.
• Create sales agreements and ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and on time.
• Communicate special instructions to office personnel and ensure services are scheduled as agreed.
• Collect payments from customers and deliver them to the office while adhering to company protocols.
• Consistently follow through on all proposals, providing clarifications as needed, negotiating prices, and meeting monthly sales quotas set by the Division Manager and the company.
• Advise clients on tree services, including planting, transplanting, removal, or pruning.
• Diagnose tree diseases, recommend treatments, and monitor treatment progress until completion.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for safety and prevention purposes.
• Meet deadlines for routes and inform staff of any scheduled appointments that cannot be met.
• Attend required department meetings and participate in company or vendor training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
