Job summary

ABC Home & Commercial Services is seeking a Tree Climber to service Austin and surrounding areas. The role offers first-year potential of $60k–$80k annually, with a path to growth through our training and Profit-Sharing Plan.

You will work with a crew, follow service contracts, and handle equipment prep, tree removal, pruning, and safe operation of lift and rigging gear. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.
• A minimum of 3 years tree climbing/trimming, using saddle and rope experience required.
• Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Experience working with routes, service stops, and meeting deadlines of your service route.
• Dependable and self-motivated with desire to work year-round.
• Ability to work inside and/or outside for long periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Complete tree work with a crew and become familiar with customers’ expectations and service contracts.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for the work day and load them in the truck and trailer.
• Remove specific dead or live trees and prune according to route sheet to maintain and improve appearance, health, and value.
• Complete all contracted work, including work from the ground, in the tree canopy, or using a lift or rigging equipment.
• Haul away non-hazardous wastes to landfill or disposal sites.
• Learn and safely use equipment for refining tree debris (tub grinders, chippers, chainsaws).
• Use site equipment to reduce waste and clean up the work area.
• Willingness to work Saturdays when needed.
• Maintain a professional attitude with customers, fellow employees and supervisors.
