Job summary

Authority Brands, Inc. is seeking an Auditor to perform financial and franchise compliance audits across the franchise system. You will verify franchisee sales reporting and fee remittance, document findings, and help remediate issues with brand operations.

The role requires attention to detail and strong communication, with travel up to 20%. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 2–4 years of audit/compliance experience, and CPA consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in audit, accounting, or compliance; public accounting a plus.
• CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
• Franchise or multi-unit industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits of financial, operational, and franchise compliance processes.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify gaps, risks, and process improvements.
• Prepare audit findings, reports, and recommendations for management and leadership.
• Partner with brand and corporate teams to track and close audit findings.
• Support external audit coordination and compliance activities as needed.
• Conduct franchise compliance and royalty audits as assigned.
• Stay current on regulatory and industry requirements affecting franchise operations.

Position Summary

The Franchisee Auditor reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Compliance and executes financial compliance audits across Authority Brands' franchise system. This role verifies the accuracy of franchisee sales reporting and fee remittance, documents findings, and supports remediation in partnership with brand operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits of financial, operational, and franchise compliance processes.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify gaps, risks, and process improvement opportunities.
• Prepare audit findings, reports, and recommendations for management and executive leadership.
• Partner with brand and corporate teams to track and close out audit findings.
• Support external audit coordination and compliance-related activities as needed.
• Conduct franchise compliance and royalty audits as assigned.
• Stay current on regulatory and industry requirements affecting franchise operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in audit, accounting, or compliance; public accounting experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• CPA or progress toward certification a plus
• Franchise or multi-unit industry experience preferred
• Ability to travel up to 20%
