Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Audit Staff to join our Tysons, VA office. You will work on diverse audit engagements under supervision, helping deliver high-quality financial statements for clients across industries.

You will build technical accounting skills, collaborate with project leads and clients, and contribute to a team that values integrity, teamwork, and professional growth. This role offers a path toward CPA certification and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Masters preferred.
• CPA certified or eligible to obtain CPA license.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime during busy cycles.

Responsibilities

• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.
• Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries.
• Gain business writing experience while preparing financial statements with clients.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.
