Aston Carter in Kohler, Wisconsin is seeking a Temporary HR Records Audit Specialist to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance of personnel records within a secure electronic system. You will review employee documentation, identify discrepancies, and maintain audit records while handling confidential information.

The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to follow established audit guidelines on a short-term project; on-site work from 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

  • Meet productivity and quality benchmarks while reviewing a high volume of records, balancing speed with accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Escalate unusual situations, potential concerns, or unresolved issues to appropriate leadership channels for timely resolution.
  • Partner with team members and project stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved and communicated effectively.
  • Work independently while following established procedures and timelines, managing workload and priorities to support project goals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting audits, compliance initiatives, quality assurance reviews, or records-management projects.
  • Background in Human Resources, Payroll, Administrative Support, Compliance, or related functions.
  • Familiarity with electronic records systems and digital document management platforms.
  • Proven success reviewing large quantities of information while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with HR-related audits, including onboarding and I-9 documentation review.
  • Comfort working with audit and auditing processes in a human resources context.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders and team members in a structured audit environment.

Work Environment

This role is fully onsite and follows a Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is flexibility to frontload work Monday through Thursday in order to work a half day on Friday, depending on project needs. You will work within a secure records system and cloud-based file storage platforms, using Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook and Excel, as well as electronic document management systems. The environment is structured, detail-oriented, and focused on compliance, accuracy, and confidentiality, with clear productivity and quality benchmarks to guide daily work.
