CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join the Northeast Higher Education team in Massachusetts. This in-office position supports university clients with hands-on audit execution and financial reporting, offering exposure to a niche area and career growth.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 2+ years of public accounting, and CPA eligibility or CPA certification preferred. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA exam preferred.
• Two+ years of public accounting experience with emphasis on financial statement prep, audits, reviews, and compilations required.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage day-to-day audit engagements for university clients from start to finish, including budgeting, planning, fieldwork, directing staff and completing financial statements.
• Review client accounting and operating procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and assess design and implementation of internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements and related disclosures and reportable condition letters.
• Communicate technical matters clearly to staff, management, and clients.
