Job summary

Weaver is seeking an Audit Senior to join its Energy team, leading components of larger engagements and serving as the in-charge professional. You will apply GAAP/GAAS guidance within SEC frameworks and develop client relationships through clear communication and proactive project management.

You will design risk-based audit approaches, coordinate planning activities and budgets, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality service to energy clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
• CPA candidate required, CPA strongly preferred.
• 2+ years or more of public accounting experience.
• Energy and/or renewable energy industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead key aspects of large, complex engagements as in-charge professional.
• Apply GAAP/GAAS guidance under GAAP and SEC frameworks.
• Develop and enhance client relationships through communication and project management.
• Plan engagements, gather budgeting information, and coordinate planning activities.
• Design a risk-based audit approach and supervise staff on engagements.
