Job summary

Payward is seeking a data architect to own audit-ready data architecture, pipelines, and documentation. You will build ETL pipelines and dashboards that enable Internal Audit to conduct data-driven testing and reviews, with emphasis on governance, traceability, and scalable data controls.

The role requires hands-on data engineering experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and collaboration with risk, IT, and finance teams to ensure datasets meet audit requirements from day one.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering with audit/risk exposure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the coordination layer for shared datasets and systems in scope for audit.
• Spearhead governance improvements for upstream schema changes affecting downstream systems and audit processes.
• Support technical analysis and impact assessments during change management for audit visibility.
• Develop and maintain reusable audit-ready dataset patterns with automated validation and monitoring.
• Review datasets and processes for audit scope, identifying pain points and opportunities for reengineering.
• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and Audit on specific audit requests.
