Job summary

DataArt is seeking a hands-on Analytics Engineer to bridge data engineering and analytics for a major investment funds client. You will own data tasks end-to-end — from sourcing data and building transformations to delivering well-designed datasets and Power BI dashboards.

The role requires strong SQL, dbt, data modeling, and experience with Snowflake, Python, and Airflow. You will work in a fast-paced environment and ramp up quickly on a complex data landscape.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and ELT/data transformation practices.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, including dimensional modeling, fact/dimension structures, and analytics datasets.
• Experience working with a modern cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake.
• Strong working experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, dashboard development, and performance considerations.
• Ability to understand unfamiliar datasets and identify relationships, data quality issues, and transformation requirements.
• Experience debugging and supporting existing data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and delivering tasks with limited supervision.
• Strong experience with Python and Airflow.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines with dbt.
• Develop clean data models for analytics and reporting.
• Work with SQL and data warehouses to investigate data and transform.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and DAX measures.
• Translate business requirements into data models and reporting.
• Perform data analysis, validation, and data quality checks.
• Troubleshoot data issues across the pipeline from source to reporting.
• Take ownership of tasks and drive them through development and testing.
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver solutions.
