Job summary

Jobot is a well-established public accounting firm seeking an Audit Manager to join our Towson, MD team. This on-site, permanent role calls for leading diverse audit engagements, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery and high-quality standards.

You will review financial statements for GAAP compliance, provide advisory support, and build strong client relationships while mentoring Assurance Seniors and junior staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in financial accounting and audit.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and related accounting principles.
• Experience reviewing and analyzing financial statements.
• Experience in operational assurance and advisory services.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Relevant professional qualification (CPA, ACCA) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a variety of audit engagements, ensuring all assignments are completed on time, within budget, and to our high-quality standards.
• Reviewing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring they are in compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
• Providing operational assurance and advisory services to our clients, helping them to enhance their financial processes and controls.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their businesses, and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
• Supervising and mentoring Assurance Seniors and other junior staff, providing them with guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
• Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and changes in regulations, ensuring our audit practices remain compliant and effective.
• Working closely with other team members and departments to deliver a seamless service to our clients.
