Job summary

Jobot is a premier public accounting and advisory firm based in New Jersey seeking a senior Not-for-Profit audit leader. You will direct engagement planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting for nonprofit clients, while mentoring staff and serving as the primary client contact.

responsible for ensuring GAAP, GAAS, FASB, and Uniform Guidance compliance, delivering strategic recommendations, and growing the Not-for-Profit practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of Not-for-Profit audit and assurance engagements.
• Direct engagement planning, risk assessment, fieldwork execution, and report issuance.
• Serve as the primary client contact for nonprofit organizations.
• Review and approve Audited Financial Statements, Audit Reports, and client deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, FASB Standards, Uniform Guidance Requirements.
• Provide strategic recommendations related to internal controls, governance, and operational efficiency.
• Manage a portfolio of nonprofit clients including Charitable Organizations, Foundations, Educational Institutions and Social Service Agencies.
• Lead and mentor Audit Seniors, Supervisors, and Staff.
• Deliver technical training and professional development support.
• Monitor engagement budgets, profitability, staffing, and timelines.
• Oversee and review Single Audits performed under Uniform Guidance.
• Serve as a technical resource for complex nonprofit accounting and compliance matters.
• Support internal quality control, peer review, and inspection processes.
• Partner with firm leadership to expand the Not-for-Profit practice.
• Participate in business development activities including networking, proposal development, client presentations, and relationship building.
• Collaborate with Tax, Advisory, and Consulting teams to provide integrated client solutions.
