Job summary

The role offers hybrid scheduling with on-site collaboration in the Wheeling office and a clear path to partnership. Strong public accounting background and CPA license required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience focusing on nonprofit statements and employee benefit plans.
• Active CPA license required.
• Ability to manage full-cycle audits and lead staff within a CPA firm.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, ERISA, and DOL reporting.
• Hybrid work schedule with time in Wheeling, IL office.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent audit engagements from planning through issuance.
• Serve as primary relationship owner for nonprofit clients and plan sponsors.
• Review and sign off on audit workpapers and financial statements.
• Mentor audit seniors and associates toward leadership roles.
• Manage engagement economics including budgeting and scheduling.
• Identify control weaknesses and communicate findings to client leadership.
• Collaborate with partners on practice development and client retention.
