Job summary

Sikich is seeking an Audit Manager to lead nonprofit audits in a dynamic, growth-focused environment in the Illinois area. You will report to the Audit Principal and drive timely, high-quality engagements across hybrid and on-site settings.

The role emphasizes staff development, coaching, and managing multiple engagements with GAAP/GAAS/FASB expertise to deliver exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification required.
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting with in-charge experience.
• Experience with Non-Profit clients preferred.
• US GAAP/GAAS/FASB knowledge essential.
• Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform field work on audits under US GAAP, GAAS, or FASB regulations.
• Conduct audit tests to assess compliance with plan and regulatory requirements.
• Draft financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, GAAS, & FASB.
• Develop and mentor staff through coaching and engagement experiences.
• Develop and maintain productive client relationships to enhance satisfaction.
• Demonstrate business acumen and provide insights during client discussions.
