Job summary

Armanino LLP seeks a Manager to oversee assurance-related deliverables for multiple clients, including financial statements and management letters. You will engage in practice management, develop industry expertise, and enhance client service while serving as a trusted advisor to clients throughout engagements.

The role requires a CPA, 5+ years in public accounting, and strong GAAP/GAAS knowledge. A proactive approach to budgeting, staffing, and interdepartmental coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA license.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
• Assurance leadership, guidance or supervisory experience.
• Advanced understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Manage the engagement and workflow of all deliverables for multiple clients, including audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements, and internal control and management letters.
• Identify and resolve accounting and audit technical issues impacting the engagement.
• Lead the engagement planning process (timing, resources, risk assessment, reliance on internal controls).
• Determine and approve staffing and related engagement schedules.
• Review engagement work papers and related deliverables for standards compliance.
• Delegate assignments to supervisors based on skills and workloads.
• Participate in the peer review process.
• Develop technical expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and audit methods through CPD.
• Prepare memorandums to support solutions for complex accounting issues.
• Coordinate services with other departments and niches related to engagements.
• Keep the partner informed about updates, budgets, and technical issues.
• Develop at least one area of industry expertise.
• Assist in developing fee quotes and budgets.
• Prepare client billings and collect outstanding accounts.
• Use assurance methodologies to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Build client relationships as a trusted advisor throughout the year.
• Know services and capabilities of partners and other lines to identify added value.
