Job summary

DSB Rock Island Wealth Management, LLC in Mendota Heights, MN seeks an Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, mentor staff, and provide trusted advisory services to privately held businesses. You will manage lifecycle from planning through delivery, ensuring quality work and exceptional client service, while collaborating with firm leadership.

Strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership passion, and the ability to develop a cohesive assurance team are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of public accounting experience with progressive assurance responsibilities.
• Experience managing audit, review, and compilation engagements.
• Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
• Experience working directly with privately held business clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through final delivery.
• Develop engagement plans, schedules, staffing, and timelines.
• Review work prepared by associates and seniors for accuracy and compliance.
• Research accounting issues, document conclusions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Ensure engagement files meet firm and professional standards.
• Monitor budgets and communicate any overages or out-of-scope work.
• Manage client relationships and serve as primary contact.
• Prepare and conduct client meetings and presentations independently.
• Coach and develop team members through training and performance feedback.
• Assist with staff workload planning and assigning challenging tasks.
