Qualifications

• Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
• Experience working directly with privately held business clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through final delivery.
• Develop engagement plans, schedules, staffing, and timelines.
• Review work prepared by associates and seniors for accuracy and compliance.
• Research accounting issues, document conclusions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Ensure engagement files meet firm and professional standards.
• Monitor budgets and communicate any overages or out-of-scope work.
• Manage client relationships and serve as primary contact.
• Prepare and conduct client meetings and presentations independently.
• Coach and develop team members through training and performance feedback.
• Assist with staff workload planning and assigning challenging tasks.

DSB Rock Island is seeking an Audit Manager to join our assurance team. You'll oversee audit, review, and compilation engagements, guide and develop team members, and serve as a key advisor to privately held businesses. What You'll Do

As an Audit Manager, you will oversee the full engagement lifecycle from planning through delivery, ensuring quality work, exceptional client service, and efficient project execution. You'll manage multiple client engagements, mentor and develop team members, and work closely with firm leadership to deliver valuable insights to clients.

• Lead and manage audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through final delivery
• Develop engagement plans, schedules, staffing assignments, and project timelines
• Review work prepared by associates and seniors, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm standards
• Research technical accounting and reporting issues, document conclusions, and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Ensure engagement files, workpapers, disclosures, and checklists meet firm and professional standards
• Monitor engagement budgets, identify out-of-scope work, and communicate project overages as needed
• Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact throughout engagements
• Prepare and conduct client meetings and presentations independently
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members through training, feedback, and performance management
• Assist with staff workload planning and ensure team members receive appropriately challenging assignments

Salary Range

$100,000 to $120,000 (depends on experience, credentials, leadership experience, and qualifications)
