Job summary

CyberCoders Northbrook-based CPA firm is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead complex assurance engagements, including corporate, non-profit, and ERISA audits, while mentoring staff and advising client leadership. You'll oversee all phases of audits in compliance with GAAP and AICPA standards, build strong relationships, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA and have 5+ years of public accounting experience, with strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting audit experience, including direct engagement management and supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and AICPA audit standards; experience with Employee Benefit Plan (EBP/ERISA) or non-profit audits is a strong plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, and specialized engagements (ERISA/non-profit) in compliance with GAAP and AICPA standards.
• Build strong, partner-level relationships with client stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations to optimize internal controls and financial operations.
• Lead client field interactions in a way that minimizes disruption while delivering thorough, on-time deliverables.
• Supervise, train, and mentor audit associates, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality standards with detailed reviews of workpapers and financial statements.
