Responsibilities

  • Audit Execution & Compliance: Conduct 8-12 financial audits annually across AWS Supply Chain operations.
  • Audit Execution & Compliance: Execute contract compliance reviews for vendor agreements valued at $50M+ annually.
  • Audit Execution & Compliance: Manage 3-5 concurrent audit engagements with third-party consultants.
  • Audit Execution & Compliance: Complete audit cycles within 1–2 quarters from planning through reporting.
  • Risk Management & Control Design: Perform quarterly risk assessments across AWS Supply Chain processes.
  • Risk Management & Control Design: Identify and document control gaps, delivering actionable recommendations per audit.

About the team

The Compliance and Review Program (CARP) is an AWS CFO-sponsored program within AWS Supply Chain Finance that performs internal audits of AWS infrastructure suppliers. Our audit scope spans multiple supplier spend verticals, including server, networking, power and cooling, data center construction, utilities, rent, and security.

CARP was established in Q1 2024 to strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance across AWS's infrastructure supply chain. Our team works directly with our integrators, OEM suppliers, strategic inventory suppliers, and logistics service providers to identify cost recovery opportunities, validate billing accuracy, and drive corrective actions that deliver measurable financial impact. Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, supply chain or a related analytical field, with demonstrated experience in at least one of the following: designing and implementing internal controls, performing audits of financial reporting processes, or leading risk assessments in a corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or CFA and 4+ years of SOX and/or Audit engagements experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL and Excel
  • Knowledge of process improvement, ideally including Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma
  • 3+ years of experience in program and audit scope definition, requirements development, and using data and metrics to identify and drive process improvements
  • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
  • 3+ years of experience in global operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (ETL, Alteryx Designer, Excel - advanced functions)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
