Job summary

UHY is seeking an Audit Intern to gain practical experience in audit and assurance. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world audit engagements, working alongside experienced professionals to support the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for our diverse clientele.

You will assist in performing audit procedures, data entry, documentation, and basic analysis, help prepare workpapers and reports, and participate in training sessions to deepen your understanding of audit concepts

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with audit teams to perform data entry, documentation preparation, and basic analysis of financial information.
• Assist in conducting audit procedures, including substantive testing and control testing.
• Support maintenance of audit files and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
• Assist in the preparation of workpapers and audit reports.
• Assist in gathering financial data for audit analysis.
• Participate in basic analytical procedures to identify trends and issues.
• Engage in training sessions to learn audit concepts and software tools.
• Communicate with audit team members to provide updates and insights.
