Job summary

BDO USA, PC in Orlando is seeking an energetic intern for our Assurance practice. This role provides hands-on exposure to GAAP and GAAS, mentoring from experienced staff, and the chance to work with a dynamic client base while building important professional relationships.

You will participate in on-the-job training, support audit teams, communicate with client contacts, and contribute to working papers using BDO templates.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in accounting (required).
• Pursuing CPA credentials (preferred).
• Leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with audit processes
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagement
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties concerning audit issues
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO templates
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and presents findings to colleagues
• Completes an assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings
• Other duties as required
