Job summary

BerryDunn is seeking an Audit Intern in the United States (Portland, ME) to gain hands-on experience with cash management, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payrolls, and expense analysis. You will participate in audit engagements, conduct research, and interact with clients across industries.

Ideal candidates are accounting students who can commit at least 24 hours per week, with opportunities up to 40 hours in summer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student in an Accounting or related business program.
• Available to work a minimum of 24 hours per week over three business days (opportunities for 40 hours during summer session).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Strong analytical, communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Review & Audit Engagements: Participate with team members on audit and review engagements supervised by senior staff members.
• Research: Conduct thorough research on audit issues utilizing firm software.
• Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients from a wide range of industries, gaining exposure to diverse business practices.
